Most all of these pieces are turned directly from green logs to a 1” wall thickness and allowed to dry several months. They are then re-turned to a final 1/4” to 3/8” wall thickness, then sanded and finished with an oil base finish. They are all safe for use with food products. They can be washed with mild soap and water and towel dried immediately. Occasional re-oiling with Walnut oil will help brighten the wood and preserve it.
